Well its been a long time since updates. For this I thank Telstra who have consistently messed up my internet connection for the last 2 months. Thanks Telstra.
Now for those of you reading this blog who are searching for some alternative ideas about the literature texts (do people like this really exist?), let me warn you that this particular entry has zilch to do with lit. I have actually written a heap of notes and stuff about the texts but they are all on paper thanks to my dodgy computer, and right now I am too lazy to transcribe them.
So, instead this blog will be about nothing. Just me ranting away, bored and tired and missing my beau.
Hmm so lets cover all bases, starting with work. Work has been so so lately. I’ve worked a couple of interesting shifts, one packed with celebrities, the other packed with explosives. The first of course was on a cruise which transported the wedding guests of a certain high profile couple from the ceremony to the reception. Wasn’t really that interesting actually, the guests were greedy and messy like most ‘normal’ people. But I did discover that the fairly unattractive groom has a hot brother. CMON!
The next night I worked at a particular sporting match, when one over-zealous fan decided the game wasn’t interesting enough. I was working on the level directly above when the intelligent young man decided to let off some fireworks which had been tampered with. The whole stadium shook with the impact, scaring a hell of a lot of people, especially seeing as it was only 2 weeks after the London attacks. Grr, some people are stupid.
On other news fronts, I started prac this semester. My school is ok, but I think I expected more from a private Catholic school, especially after reading their propaganda filled website. I freaked out before my first prac, despite constant assurances from a certain someone that I would be fine. He was right of course. It was actually a boring day, where the most eventful time was when a year 8 boy asked “Miss, what does ‘defence’ mean? Hmm.
Oh, guess what! Apparently I may have a broken back. Yippee. I’ve started visiting the chiro again, as my back has been playing up, and this week explained to them again an injury I received a few years ago. (I was on a inflatable biscuit thingy behind a speed boat, hit a wave and my ankles smacked the back of my head). Anyway, this time the 2 chiros who were examining me freaked out, and now I have to have full spinal x-rays. ANd they refused to treat the rest of my back in case they did damage to me...ITS BEEN THREE FREAKING YEARS SINCE THE ACCIDENT, I DON’T THINK YOU COULD DO MUCH MORE DAMAGE!!! Sorry about the shouting its just my back really hurts. Grr. But I have discovered my back actually seems to hurt less when I’m doing something. If I’m just lying down or sitting it canes, but if I’m moving around and bending its not so bad. So yesterday afternoon I was feeling a little bored. I couldn’t use the net till midnight (Stupid Telstra), there was nothing on TV and I couldn’t be bothered studying. So I did some gardening. This involve sweeping and raking the back yard and throwing all the crap in the bin (45mins) and weeding the front yard (25mins). Then the sun disappeared. It was funny though, as all the neighbours returned from work, and passed by my front yard, they all nodded and smiled at me. Friendliness in the city? I didn’t think it existed. Although maybe they were just amused that my arse was hanging out of my pants as I knelt in the dirt.
Grr. Why haven’t I wasted more time already?
I should probably go fix things in the house, My bathroom needs excessive cleaning. But that won’t happen cos I’m sick of the slate walls chipping and making more mess. I should probably put some harpic in the toilet too, seeing as no-one else seems to realise toilet cleaning products exist. I need to hang out my washing and put on another load. I need to buy light bulbs unless I want to shower in the dark. I should probably sweep the floors too, cos they’re looking a bit dirty. My room is fairly tidy though, which I’m pleased about. I need to finish weeding the front yard, cos I only got half done. Oh and I need to change every washer in every tap in the bathroom. Can anyone help me here? How hard is it to change a washer? Do I need to turn the main water off? Do washers come in different sizes, and if so how do I differentiate the ones I will need? Argh.

Wow, this was a really long blog about nothing. God I’m boring.
